Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey - contains the largest collection of Roman ruins East of the Mediterranean

It was a very hot day to go on tour to the Ancient City of Ephesus. That is me at the Library of Celsus.

It was so hot that my parents were enjoying themselves under an umbrella while watching the show.

Rome, Italy - Rich in Culture

I have only been to Rome twice and usually the first thing that we do when we get there is to visit the Fontana di Trevi or Trevi Fountain to throw a coin so that we will always be going back to Rome all the time.

eBay's new feedback system is sinking-in negatively for sellers

At first, we thought that there was an over-reaction to the changes that eBay implemented regarding the Feedback Policy.

But now, we realize that what the super majority of the sellers fear is a reality --- that more scamming and abusive buyers will come out. And yes, we have just been victimized by this zero-feedback buyer with eBay id: laerling1

We just recently received a negative feedback from this zero-feedback scammer who ignored our eBay messages and also ignored our listing policies that we do not sell to zero-feedback buyers... for simply this reason.

Isn't it very clearly written on our eBay listings for our Vintage Watches that we will only sell to those that have at least 10 feedback? Then how did this zero feedback buyer happen?

Three New 'Haggle' Marketplaces Hope to Unseat eBay

Three New 'Haggle' Marketplaces Hope to Unseat eBay

Three new entrants in the ecommerce space have rejected eBay's auction model in favor of systems that encourage haggling between buyers and sellers. And while the three sites take very different approaches, they all offer low fees and social networking components that are built in from the beginning.

Fididel actually introduces a middle-person into its ecommerce model - real-life human negotiators typing live at their keyboards. Flippid is more like a traditional bulletin board, letting buyers and sellers create and browse "BuyOff" and "SellOff" postings. Wigix takes an approach it likens to NASDAQ stock trading.

Shanghai - more affordable than Hong Kong

When we visited Shanghai last January, the weather was perfect. Just a light jacket would keep you warm and no matter how far and long you would walk, you will not sweat.

We like Shanghai because everything was affordable. We were shocked that the breakfast buffet at the Central Hotel was much cheaper than having breakfast in a hotel in Manila.

The Tsing Tao Beer only costs approximately US$1.20 in the hotel room. And even much cheaper when you buy it outside in those 7-11 type of convenience stores.

We chose Central Hotel because it is really "central" to the main Nanjing Road where everything opens early and then closes late. If you are on a budget like us, we would always search for the nearest McDonald's all the time. At Nanjing Road, you will find one open 24 hours.
