Buying directly from TheWatchWorks

I have received so many inquiries about buying from TheWatchWorks directly... and we always answer,.... Yes you can buy directly from us.

Please let me know what you are looking for and then if we agree on a price... then its a deal!

But please note that if you are going to use Paypal, we can only ship watches using FEDEX or IEMS (for selected countries).

And if you want to use the cheaper Registered Airmail which takes around 15 to 20 business days to reach you, you can only pay using:

www.xoom.com (you can use your Paypal thru Xoom)

www.moneybookers.com (very easy to use and it's FREE)

There are regular customers who buy directly from TheWatchWorks and we keep all transactions confidential of course.

Cheers!

Beware of eBayer: fighting64

This guy is a seller and an extortionist who threatens to leave negative feedback if not paid triple the amount of what he bought.

This are his registered details on eBay:

Olivier KHELIFI
133,avenue du Général LECLERC.
Immeuble "Le Perpignan3".
38200 VIENNE
France
Tel. : 0474531954

If you will look at his eBay feedback, he is more of a re-seller of watches. There are bad eggs on eBay and we cannot really avoid them. This guy is one bad egg.

Imagine, leaving a negative feedback for a $10 item? And he wanted $30 back? Who would agree to that?

We do not give-in to feedback extortion.

We are now on Facebook

We are brand-new to Facebook but not under the name TheWatchWorks. Send us an email or a message so that we can invite you to Facebook if you consider us your friend.

It is always great to have new friends!

Cheers!

SEIKO 6319-7040 DIVER'S WATCH - THE BEST ARTICLE EVER!!!

The Seiko 6319-7040 is really a Feiko. It is not even found in the Seiko Diver's reference or in any Seiko Catalog for that matter.

The best article ever made regarding the Seiko 6319-7040 can be found here http://quartzimodo.info/articles/the-controversial-seiko-6319-7040-diver/

Brugge, Belgium - Great food, tasty beer & colorful scenery

Bruges (Brugge), Belgium was not part of our Celebrity Century cruise tour. We just went there on our own using the train from Amsterdam with some transfers. Bruges is a lovely place to visit. We stayed at Hotel Ter Duinen which has 5-Star personal service by the owners. The son of the owner actually spent 3 weeks in the Philippines some time ago as an exchange student. It is truly a small world out there and it is always good to have friends in all countries.

How to use an automatic-winding watch

This picture was taken from this website:
http://www.bellmatics.com/archives/user_manual.htm

And I have included it here because some buyers think that they have bought a quartz watch that does not run. It is sometimes difficult to describe how to "wind" an automatic watch and so the best is to use this visual aid.

Hope this helps.

FOTKI - A short review of this free photo-sharing site

FOTKI - is another Image Hosting / Photo-Sharing website where you can upload your pictures and share it with the rest of the world. Although FOTKI is not new, it is not as popular as Photobucket or Flickr or Picasa Web.

FOTKI has nice tools and lots of short-cuts for "bulk-editing" which is a must for those that have lots of pictures. I am just new to FOTKI and so I found it terribly-slow when it came to uploading pictures. I do not know if the method I chose was wrong or if there was a glitch on their site during that day.

FOTKI is considered to be a "Free" Image-Hosting site although you can also upgrade to get more premium services if needed. Images can be tagged in bulk and organized into albums.

I just recently uploaded around 15 pictures of a Seiko 6105-8119 and it is easily found by just typing the word "Seiko" on the search bar.

Queensland Police net eBay fraudsters

Queensland police net eBay fraudsters

Queensland police say they have tracked down 23 repeat offenders responsible for about half the state's reported fraud complaints from eBay online auction users.

Last May, the state's fraud squad launched a world-first website allowing Australian eBay customers to report online fraud.

Previously, eBay customers whose purchases did not arrive or were not what they expected could only complain to local police.

Police often found the problem could have been easily resolved between the two parties, but in cases of criminal fraud they had difficulties investigating offenders in other jurisdictions.

Police Minister Judy Spence told state parliament that under the new system, 416 matters had been reported - 60 per cent by Queensland victims about Queensland offenders.

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey - contains the largest collection of Roman ruins East of the Mediterranean

It was a very hot day to go on tour to the Ancient City of Ephesus. That is me at the Library of Celsus.

Rome, Italy - Rich in Culture

I have only been to Rome twice and usually the first thing that we do when we get there is to visit the Fontana di Trevi or Trevi Fountain to throw a coin so that we will always be going back to Rome all the time.

eBay's new feedback system is sinking-in negatively for sellers

At first, we thought that there was an over-reaction to the changes that eBay implemented regarding the Feedback Policy.

But now, we realize that what the super majority of the sellers fear is a reality --- that more scamming and abusive buyers will come out. And yes, we have just been victimized by this zero-feedback buyer with eBay id: laerling1

We just recently received a negative feedback from this zero-feedback scammer who ignored our eBay messages and also ignored our listing policies that we do not sell to zero-feedback buyers... for simply this reason.

Isn't it very clearly written on our eBay listings for our Vintage Watches that we will only sell to those that have at least 10 feedback? Then how did this zero feedback buyer happen?
